Is the camp entirely conducted in Spanish?The camp will be mostly conducted in English. The purpose of Summer with Amigos camp is to offer children a fun and exciting experience while we incorporate some Spanish elements. The main purpose of this camp is not to teach a new language, but to get kids familiar with basic Spanish vocabulary that make this camp an opportunity to learn something new. All children are welcome to join our camp regardless of whether or not they have knowledge of Spanish.

What type of outdoor and indoors activities will my camper do?Outdoor activities include running, relay races, ball games, exploring activities and spray park play. Indoor activities consist of arts & crafts, board games, card games, and sensory activities.

Who are the camp counsellors?Our camp counsellors are caring and responsible adults with a strong Spanish language background and experience and passion caring for children. All our staff members are required to provide a police background check prior to working in our camp.

What’s the age range of kids attending the camp?Our campers must be at least 7 years old and up to 11 years old to attend our camp week.

At what time does the camp start and end each day of the week?Each day of the week our camp activities start at 9:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM.

What are the drop-off and pick-up times?Camper drop-off: 8:30 AM-9:00 AM Camper pick-up: 4:00 PM-4:30 PM

Do you offer extended care before and after camp?We only offer after-care for an additional fixed fee of $25 per camper, per week. After care pick-up: 4:30 PM-5:00 PM

Do you have a sign-in/sign-out procedure?Yes, all campers must be signed in and out of camp by a pre-authorized adult each day. Authorized adults are required to identify themselves when picking up campers.

Can campers sign-in and out of camp themselves?All campers must be dropped-off and picked-up by a pre-authorized adult since all our campers are younger than 9 years old.

When is lunch time?Lunch time is from 11:40 AM to 12:40 PM. Lunch is supervised by camp counsellors.

Do you provide lunch for campers?Families are responsible for packing lunch, snacks and drinks for each camper. This is a nut-free summer camp, please do not pack items that contain peanuts or any type of nuts.

What should campers wear and bring to camp?Campers should be dressed in clothing suitable for physical activity and appropriate for the weather. All campers should bring: Sunscreen Bug Spray Sunhat Water Lunch and snacks (nut or peanut free) *It is recommended to pack lunch in a cooler lunch bag. For spray park fun also bring: Swimsuit or shorts & t-shirt Swim shoes (optional) Change of dry clothes Wet bag or plastic bag for wet clothes Towel *We recommend to label all personal items with the child’s name.

What happens if it rains or if its too hot?In case of rain and extreme hot weather indoor activities will take place. Summer days are expected to be somewhat hot, so we encourage campers to bring enough water, sunscreen, and a sunhat. Summer heat is a safety consideration for us, so we plan for campers to have enough water and cool-down breaks and make use of shaded areas.

How do you ensure safety and supervision of campers?Camper safety is a top priority for us. Campers will be supervised at all times by our camp counsellors. Our camper to staff ratio is no larger than 10 campers per staff member.

What are the camp fees and how to pay?Our weekly fees are $210 per camper, per week. If you require after care pick up between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM, an additional $25 fee is charged per camper, per week, regardless of how many days you need extended care in the week. We accept the following payment methods: Online card payment (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) E-transfer *If you require a different payment method, please contact us before submitting a registration form.

When can I register my child for camp?Our registration is now open. Our spots are subject to availability. We strongly recommend that you submit your registration as early as possible. The last day to register for a week is the Friday (at 1:00 PM) prior to the camp start day. Families must submit a complete registration form and have paid all camp fees by then.
